• Requests for Quotes:Users of this site may request price quotes for various quantities of in-stock items, or they may request a custom request for
  quote based on user-supplied criteria, i.e., A saw blade with a particular diameter, of a particular type of material, etc.
• Reorders for existing cusomers:Customers of YSK may reorder in-stock items based on previous orders, since the price for each item has already been assigned and there is no need to
  go through the quoting process.
• Customer's Order Status and History:The customer registers with the site, chooses a username, password, etc. This information is sent to YSK
  who then verifies the customer in their internal database, and updates the customer's web registration with their unique account
  number, thus allowing the customer to access his/her previous orders, open orders, etc.

 

Below are some example screenshots of the process a customer would go through to view his or her order history with YSK.

 

 

First, the customer logs in. At this point, the customer has been registerd with the site (chosen a username, password, etc.), either by him/herself or YSK, and YSK has verified this information against their own data. YSK activates the customer by logging into the site's administration area and entering the customer's unique customer number and sequence code that YSK uses for internal record keeping. The program checks site registration info and compares that to records in YSK's customer tables.

 

The user is verified in the web tables as well as the YSK tables. If he/she is not found, an error is returned.

 

Some customers are set up in a headquarters/division structure. These customers create profiles in the site that can be of two types: 1) Headquarters account 2) Division account. The headquarters account manager can see all orders placed by all the divisions. The division manager can see only those orders that he/she has placed. This screenshot shows a fictitious division manager's order history. He can see all of the orders he has placed, but not other orders placed by other divisions of the company PACTIV. Companies that don't have this type of organization simply see all orders placed by their company.
